Manually configure a proxy on my iPhone via Wi-Fi settings

If you'd rather not install a third-party app, you can configure a proxy directly in iOS:

  1. Open SettingsWi-Fi.

  2. Tap the next to your connected network.

  3. Scroll down to Configure Proxy and tap Manual.

  4. Enter the Server (your proxy's hostname) and Port.

  5. If your proxy uses username/password authentication, toggle Authentication on and enter your credentials — unlike Android, iOS's native Wi-Fi settings do support this.

  6. Tap Save.

  7. Visit any website to confirm the proxy is active.

This method only applies to the Wi-Fi network you configure it on — it won't carry over to cellular data or other networks.

Here is how you can set up a proxy:

After you can select HTTP, SOCKS4 or SOCKS5 "Type"

Enter proxy details and hit "Save":
